Partner B- Slum Area Pastor

Our new friend, Partner B we’ll call him, is an incredible new pastor of a church plant in a riverside slum area. His heart is that his community, as well as the 2 surrounding areas, would come to know and follow Jesus. In just a few months, he has already assessed countless needs that he hopes to address. His prayer is that with tangible blessing, they will experience the love and provision of God and ultimately open their hearts to Him.

One pressing need he first observed was that his community needed clean drinking water and restroom facilities. Just month ago, we partnered with another local ministry and provided water filters for approximately 100 families there! Through our partnership with Partner B, we have also provided desks and materials for after-school tutoring. Partner B has opened up the church on week days after school for the children in his community to come for homework help and tutoring. To aid his students, he hand-built desks for them so they could study in the church! Through this time, he is also sharing The Gospel with them every week. We are praising God for these miracles, and we know there is still more that He wants to do. We are currently praying for God to provide what we need to build various restroom facilities.

Other needs we hope to soon assist in meeting include fans for this current hot and rainy season, skills training (barber schools, embroidery skills, and/or electrical training), as well as tutoring and teaching materials.

While we hope to offer many tangible blessings to this community, we also hope to offer intangible blessings to and through Partner B and his family. We will be walking through some discipleship resources and praying regularly with him to ensure he has the support he needs in order to continue loving and serving this beautiful community.
